Has anyone else noticed that....
The Las Vegas shooting has totally disappeared off the radar screen? its like it never happened.
what happened to banning bump stocks? whats the current state of the investigation?
what happened to the debate about when we can talk about guns? is this the waiting period?
America is a society that accepts mass murder as normal, as a daily occurrence.
that is one sign of a collapsing society.
and the collapse is accelerating. dont think for a minute this will all be "fixed" when trumpolini is gone.
hardly.
you can expect that by then America will be headed towards another bad recession and may be involved in a war either on the pacific rim or in the Persian gulf. or both.
its going to be a very rocky 3 or 4 years ahead. a smart person would prepare for that.

The real powers behind the scenes want so called liberals and progressives to be caught up in the 24/7 cycle of outrage against Trump. It's good for the ratings, and keeps everyone distracted and caught up in that simplistic binary thinking that we got during campaign season that anyone who said anything critical of Hillary is pro-Trump.
ReplyDeleteThe Democrats will nominate another corporate clone, using "electability" as the reason, and then, when Trump is off the scene, all the people tweeting and facebooking and commenting about "impeach!" will go right back into complacency, and won't notice or care that the system is basically broken.
I think it's going to be difficult long after Trump is out of office. The basic rottenness, the dysfunction, the betrayal of what remains of those old small r republican and democratic values... nothing is going to change without a general systems collapse because no one wants to look at the big picture.
We got the twitter president we deserve. Most Americans seem to think in sound bites and the attention span for major events has decreased from two weeks to three days, if that, and it's all emotion driven.
Hatred of Trump is a distraction and keeps We The People from thinking about the big picture, the long term, and from strategizing about what do do about it, whether this can be saved or if we'd better replace it with something else, and if so, what?
